Fun fact about flowers

The term flower power was coined by poet Allen Ginsberg during the vietnam war. It was a means to transform war protest into a peaceful affirmative spectacles.

During the ’60s young protesters or hippies, as they were better known as, would wear clothing with flowers on them and flowers in their hair. They would also hand flowers out to the public as a symbol of peace. They became known as “flower children.”
